Here's my honest review of the Slipstream from Compound Genetics. Let’s dive in—this plant is serious quality. Seed to Veg: Starting from the top, I planted three seeds, but only two made it. The Slipstream can be a bit tricky to germinate, so she's not the best choice for beginners and definitely requires close attention. I used the following at the Veg phase: - 1ml Hesi TNT Complex (Mid) - 2ml Hesi TNT Complex (End) - Water PH 7 Veg to Flower: In the veg phase, she looks pretty standard, but one thing really stood out—both plants grew almost identically, like perfect clones. This speaks to some top-notch genetics. After around 7–8 weeks, I sent her to flower, and wow, she started producing an insane amount of buds. I used the following at the Veg phase: - Water PH 6.75 - 5ml of Hesi TNT Complex (Beginning) - 7ml of Hesi TNT Complex (End) - 3-5ml BioBizz CalMag (With every watering) - 2-3ml BioBizz Root Juice/Humic Acid (With every second watering) Flower: She’s a heavy feeder, needing water about every 2-3 days (around 1 liter) in a 10-liter pot. And no matter what nutrients I threw at her, she handled it all effortlessly. What also stood out was that she very early started to produce dense trichomes that aren't just empty, they're getting filled with Cannabinoids very fast. It's almost like the trichomes pop out and are already filled... Never seen this before. In most cases I have to stress the plant using UVB light to get this effect the same way on the trichomes. I used the following at the flower phase: - Water PH 6.4 - 5ml Hesi Flower Complex (Beginning) - 7ml Hesi Flower Complex (End) - 2ml Hesi Phosphor Plus (Beginning) - 2,5ml Hesi Phosphor Plus (End) - 2ml Hesi Flower Boost (Mid) - 2ml Hesi Flower Boost (End) - 1ml Plagron Sugar Royal (Beginning) - 1ml Plagron Sugar Royal (End) - 1 drop Hesi Super Vit (With every watering) - 3-5ml of BioBizz CalMag with every Watering Smell: Very special, definitely something you don't smoke every day. And that's exactly the problem, it's hard to describe, It has a Gas touch to it, it's not fruity but goes in that direction, and she kinda has a touch of licorice to lemony. I really like it. Effect: Boy ... I already smoked a lot of buds, but that isn't comparable at all ... The Slipstream is strong ... very strong ... but also a good mix of cerebral high and body stoned. But she definitely also get's everyday smokes down ;) Downsides: The plant from a consumer perspective is awesome, but from a gardener perspective she is as already pointed out moderate/hard to germinate. Besides this plant is very hard to clone, I really tried it like 12 times, just one of them got trough. Not sure where this is coming from, I also tried it in combination with Clonex and rooting powder. But in 90% of all cases it fails to clone her ... Not sure if she is bred on purpose that way ... But those are really the only two downside with her, hard to germinate and hard to clone. Everything else is AAA+++ Summary: I would definitely without a doubt recommend this pant, it's not cheap, but worth it. It's not suited for mass cloning or beginners, she requires some attention and some more nutrition ... Final rating: 4.75/5
